Clavicle fracture secondary surgery after the separation of the broken end, if the broken end is completely separated accompanied by internal fixation breakage, then also need to be treated surgically.
Secondary surgery for clavicle fracture is usually based on internal fixation to re-fix the fracture, if there is separation of the broken end after secondary surgery, it can be treated according to the separation and internal fixation. If there is no abnormality of internal fixation and the separation of the broken ends is not significant, the fracture can be reviewed periodically.
If the separation is significant or combined with broken internal fixation, it is considered to be caused by overstressing of the fracture breaks, and then surgical treatment is required. The broken internal fixation is surgically removed, the fracture is repositioned and internally fixed again, during which excessive stress on the fracture needs to be avoided. Avoid overstressing the fracture to avoid re-breaking it during movement.
