Exercises for narrowing of the spinal canal include continuous lumbar stretching, lying lumbar flexion, and sitting lumbar flexion.
1. Continuous lumbar extension: stand with feet shoulder-width apart, support your back, bend backward, and hold this position for about 60 seconds. If the symptoms are relieved within a period of time, the training can be continued. If it causes worsening of symptoms, it should be stopped.
2. Prone lumbar flexion: lie on your back with your knees bent, slowly raise your knees to your chest and grasp them with your hands. Hold this crumpled position for 2 seconds, then return your knees to the starting position and repeat ten times.
3. Seated Lumbar Flexion: In a seated position with your feet on the floor, slowly bend your body forward and stretch toward the floor, hold the fully bent position for 2 seconds, then release and return to a fully upright seated position, repeat the exercise 10 times.
