What does squamocolumnar junction invisible transformation zone type 3 mean?

If the colposcopic findings suggest that the squamous-columnar junction is not visible and the transformation zone is type III, this usually means that the woman has cervical erosion of the third degree and the junction between the squamous and columnar epithelium is not clearly visible. The majority of these cases may be due to chronic cervical inflammation, which is more severe, and most of the cervix is congested and erosion-like, with discharge. Usually these women have abnormal leucorrhea or bleeding after intercourse, but in a very small percentage of women, the abnormality may be due to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. However, when colposcopy reveals a transformation zone type III, only low-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia is considered and not high-grade. As long as there is no major abnormality in TCT at this time, it can be treated vaginally with povidone pessary instead of surgery.
