What’s the difference between a 1.0 and a 5.0 on the vision chart?

There is a difference between a visual acuity of 1.0 and 5.0 in terms of the visual acuity charts used for vision screening and the way in which the visual acuity results are recorded. In fact, the clinical expression of the results is the same for both Vision Scale 1.0 and 5.0, both of which are normal vision, i.e. Vision Scale 1.0 is equal to Vision Scale 5.0.
Visual acuity 1.0 is the visual acuity checked with the international standard visual acuity chart, which is a decimal recording method. Visual acuity of 5.0 is the visual acuity checked with a standard logarithmic visual acuity chart, which is a logarithmic recording method.
There is a certain conversion between the two. Through conversion, it can be found that the visual acuity of 1.0 is equal to the visual acuity of 5.0.
