Signs of dying in patients with abdominal dialysis

The symptoms of a dying peritoneal dialysis patient: 1. There may be severe heart failure. Patients may have panic attacks and chest tightness, followed by a drop in blood pressure, inadequate systemic perfusion, and chills in the hands and feet. 2. Some patients on peritoneal dialysis may have severe infections. This leads to infectious shock, and the patient will experience persistent high fever, unconsciousness, and coma. 3. Patients on peritoneal dialysis will subsequently suffer from peritoneal failure, and there is no way for peritoneal dialysis to remove toxins and electrolytes from the body. At this time the patient will develop hyperkalemia, a severe lethal acidosis. The patient’s examination will show severe hyperkalemia, T-wave hyperacusis visible on the electrocardiogram, malignant arrhythmias, as well as the patient may develop this deep and fast breathing, and this condition eventually leads to death.
