Is there a high incidence of sigmoid colon cancer?

Sigmoid colon cancer has high incidence rate, with the development of the disease, it will show symptoms such as change of bowel habit, diarrhea, constipation alternately, blood in stool and localized abdominal pain.
Relevant researches show that the incidence rate of sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma has been increasing in recent years, and it mostly occurs in middle-aged or old men, with the ratio of male to female about 2:1. It is generally believed that its occurrence may be related to some intestinal diseases or hereditary factors, and secondly, sigmoid colon carcinoma is also related to the factors such as environmental factors, family history, and the lack of dietary fiber.
As the early symptoms are relatively mild, patients are often not easy to notice or even easily neglected; in the late stage, patients may have clinical symptoms such as abdominal pain, dyspepsia, abdominal distension, blood in stools, etc., which may be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as progressive anemia, weight loss or fatigue. Pathologic examination by enteroscopy is the gold standard to confirm the diagnosis of this disease.
If the patient has the above discomfort symptoms, especially middle-aged and old men, they need to consult a doctor for examination in time to clarify the cause of the disease.
