Can a child with strabismus be “boarded up”?

  Will strabismus get better on its own without treatment?  Strabismus is a progressive disease that can remain stable for a certain period of time, but does not usually heal on its own.  Can the strabismus be “fixed”? For example, stimulation in the opposite direction.  There are many ways to treat strabismus, and different treatments for different strabismas. Only when the type of strabismus is accurately identified and the right treatment is found can the best results be achieved.
