In vitro embryo transfer process

The process of IVF embryo transfer mainly includes pre-transfer preparation, transfer process and post-transfer precautions.
1. Pre-transfer preparation: first of all, the doctor needs to check the relevant information again such as the patient’s personal information (couple’s identity information, past history, current medical history, etc.), the use of the program and the number of embryos to be transferred, etc. In addition, the patient needs to hold her bladder moderately, so that the uterus and the double adnexa can be clearly visualized under the ultrasound.
2. Transfer process: when the bladder is full and the uterus appears clearly under the ultrasound, the patient will be placed in the gynecological examination position, after which, strict sterilization will be carried out, and the doctor will slowly push the prepared embryos into the appropriate position in the uterine cavity according to the prescribed procedures, and wait for about ten minutes.
3. Post-transfer precautions: After completing the operation and resting for about ten minutes, the patient can get up to urinate and leave the hospital, and follow the doctor’s instructions to regulate the use of progestogens, such as progesterone, and regularly recheck the blood human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and ultrasound, in order to understand the results of the embryo transfer.
The process of IVF embryo transfer should be operated in strict accordance with the protocol, and the implantee should actively cooperate with the doctor in order to complete the transfer successfully.
