Is it contagious to eat and live with someone who has AIDS?

Living with a person with AIDS, such as sharing meals, living in the same room, using public restrooms, washing machines, office supplies, etc., is not contagious. AIDS is mainly transmitted sexually, through blood, and from mother to child. Therefore, when living with a person with AIDS, avoid letting your wounds come into contact with the blood, semen or body fluids of the person with AIDS, so as to avoid transmission. Don’t borrow or share personal items such as toothbrushes, razors, shavers, etc., and don’t have unprotected sex with someone who has AIDS, as this can be contagious.
