After pupil line tattooing, it is easy to cause eye edema, you can use cold/hot compresses, medication and other methods to quickly reduce swelling.
1. Cold/hot compresses: cold compresses can be applied intermittently within 72 hours after pupil line tattooing to shrink blood vessels and help reduce swelling quickly. But in the operation process, pay attention to the principle of asepsis, to avoid contamination of the pupil line site, resulting in infection.
After 72 hours, you can apply hot compresses, take a hot towel or hot water bag and apply hot compresses to the eyes. Hot compresses can be applied 3~5 times a day, each lasting about 15~20 minutes, and hot compresses for about 1 week can help reduce swelling. The same as ice compresses, pay attention not to contaminate the surgical area to avoid infection.
2. Medication: If there are signs of infection, anti-infection treatment is needed, commonly used drugs include mupirocin ointment, gentamycin ophthalmic ointment and cefuroxime.
Swelling of the eyes is a common manifestation after tattooing pupil line, generally do not worry too much, according to the doctor’s instructions to deal with it accordingly.
