What are the common problems of glaucoma

How is glaucoma examined? A series of eye examinations are required, including a glaucoma provocation test, IOP measurement, visual field check, and especially a fundus examination, which allows direct observation of the degree of optic nerve damage. How is glaucoma treated? Glaucoma can usually be effectively controlled with a few eye drops and eye medications, but most cases require surgery. The goal of treatment is to lower the intraocular pressure to prevent further damage to vision. Can vision be restored after treatment? The loss of vision caused by glaucoma is permanent and irreversible, which is why it is important that people over 35 years of age need routine eye care examinations. Can glaucoma be prevented? There is no definitive way to prevent it. However, early screening, early detection and early treatment can control glaucoma and prevent further vision damage. Good lifestyle habits can be beneficial in preventing attacks.
