What’s wrong with a sore elbow?

Patients with soreness in the elbow is a common clinical manifestation, mostly due to muscle strain or prolonged cold in the elbow area, resulting in localized qi stagnation and blood stasis, meridian obstruction, resulting in soreness, swelling and weakness. Patients suffering from humeral epicondylitis or localized fasciitis or bursitis in the elbow joint can cause localized pain. Patients need to minimize weight bearing on the elbow joint and pay attention to keeping warm by applying hot towels, physiotherapy or baking electricity frequently. If the patient’s soreness is severe, he can be given local closed injection, or topical application of blood circulation and pain relief cream or golden cream, or he can take oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, such as oral fenbendazole and ibuprofen extended-release tablets.
