When to remove the chemotherapy tube

In order to reduce the damage of chemotherapy drugs to the surrounding blood vessels and prevent the extravasation of chemotherapy drugs to the muscles or skin, PICC tubes or infusion ports are often left in place before chemotherapy, which are easy to maintain on a daily basis and can be removed after chemotherapy is finished. The PICC tube can be removed after the end of adjuvant chemotherapy. For advanced tumors, the PICC tube or infusion port may need to be left in place for a long time because of the condition, so the tube can be carried for a long time and daily maintenance can be strengthened.
