In order to reduce the damage of chemotherapy drugs to the surrounding blood vessels and prevent the extravasation of chemotherapy drugs to the muscles or skin, PICC tubes or infusion ports are often left in place before chemotherapy, which are easy to maintain on a daily basis and can be removed after chemotherapy is finished.
