DR is the application of X-ray imaging, easily reminding people of the atomic bomb explosion in Japan that produced many leukemia patients, and the nuclear damage caused by the nuclear leak at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Soviet Union. x-ray does have a certain amount of radiation to the human body, sperm, eggs, fetuses, newborns, etc. are also relatively sensitive to x-ray radiation, which can easily cause damage, causing malformations and long cancers. However, these critical damages only appear after a large amount or excess radiation, a DR exposure time is relatively short, the radiation dose is very low, do not need to worry too much about the hazards of X-rays. DR examinations are generally contraindicated before and during pregnancy, and DR examinations should be performed with caution in newborns and children. If clinical examination is really necessary, care should be taken to protect sexual organs and thyroid and other organs that are more sensitive to X-rays, and try to replace DR examinations with ultrasound, MRI and other means of examination without radiation. Many doctors in our clinic now have taken into account the problem of radiation, we can use ultrasound or MRI to characterize the lesion, we generally do not repeat the application of DR examination.
