What is the dosage of Eight-flavored Kidney Qi Tang and each of its flavors?

Eight-flavored Kidney-Qi Tang refers to Eight-flavored Kidney-Qi Pill, which is composed of four taels of both yam and cornelian cherry, eight taels of ripened dihuang, three taels each of poria, mudanpi, and zedoary; and two taels each of epimedium and cinnamon. The composition of this formula is based on the Six-flavored Di Huang Wan with the addition of Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori and Cinnamon. And the dosage is basically the same as that in Six-flavored Di Huang Wan. Also: the dosage of this formula is calculated according to ancient measurements and does not mean that the modern dosage needs to be adjusted according to the specific condition. This formula nourishes the liver and kidneys; it can treat deficiency of the liver and kidneys (weakness of the liver and kidneys), dysuria (unsmooth urination), lethargy (tiredness and fatigue), dry mouth and desire to drink, coldness in the limbs, and lumbosacral cold pain.
