Where is the trochanter located?

The trochanter is located at the proximal end of the femur, at the corner of the femoral neck and the femoral stem. The trochanter is thicker, contains more cancellous bone, and has a stronger medial femoral spur, which is the site of power transmission and connection between the trunk and lower extremities. After the hip joint suffers from trauma, it is easy to cause the femoral tuberosity to have comminuted fracture, which is mostly seen in the middle-aged and old people. This is because middle-aged and elderly people have bone degeneration and osteoporosis, especially after a fall, if the hip joint is subjected to excessive stress, it will cause a fracture of the trochanter.
