Severe cervical erosion refers to severe cervical columnar epithelial ectasia, which is a normal physiological manifestation and does not require laser surgical treatment. After puberty, with the rise in estrogen levels, the cervical columnar epithelium and mesenchymal stroma in the cervical canal are moved outward to the vaginal part of the cervix, the columnar epithelium is monolayer, the mesenchymal stroma under the cells is red, and the visual observation can be erosion-like changes, the specific severity of the individual differences, therefore, the severe cervical columnar epithelial ectasia is a normal physiological manifestation of the cervix, and does not need laser surgical treatment. It is important to note that ectopic cervical columnar epithelium is susceptible to abnormal differentiation, poor differentiation, abnormal nuclei and other manifestations of the acidic environment in the vagina, which is the most common site of cervical cancer, and patients should be screened regularly for cervical cancer. If the patient’s cervix is abnormal, he/she should standardize the treatment under the guidance of professional doctors, so as to avoid delaying the condition, which may lead to adverse consequences.
