The optimal ratio of Mucuna pruriens and Rheum palmatum

There is no such thing as an optimal ratio of Muxiang and rhubarb. Clinical use of drugs and dosage should be determined by a professional physician to identify the prescription, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions for the use of drugs. Muxiang is pungent, bitter and warm in nature, and belongs to the spleen, stomach, large intestine, Sanjiao and gallbladder meridians. It has the efficacy of moving qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by regulating the body’s qi), strengthening the spleen, and eliminating food, and can be used for treating stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, distension and pain in the epigastric (abdominal) region, with scanty appetite and vomiting; and stagnation of qi in the large intestine, with diarrhea and post-diarrheal disorders. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear. Rhubarb has the efficacy of diarrhea and attacking accumulation, cooling the blood and detoxifying the toxin (referring to the treatment of blood-heat and toxin impregnation), clearing heat and diarrhea (removing heat and fire from the body), inducing dampness and eliminating yellowish coloration, and is used for the treatment of constipation due to solid-heat accumulation and retention of stagnant stools, redness of the eyes and swelling of the pharynx, dysentery of moist-heat (dysentery due to moist-heat), jaundice with urinary and redness, and bleeding.
