Yellowish leukorrhea and a little itchy vulva may be caused by trichomoniasis, cervicitis and senile vaginitis.
1. Trichomonas vaginitis: it is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. Patients may show increased vaginal discharge, which is purulent or grass-green in color, and may be accompanied by vulvar itching.
2. Cervicitis: inflammation caused by cervical infection, intrauterine device and other causes of stimulation. Patients may have yellow-brown or red leukorrhea, accompanied by vulvar itching and burning sensation and other symptoms.
3. Geriatric vaginitis: mainly because of ovarian hypoplasia, estrogen level decreases, which makes the vaginal mucosa atrophy and thinning, and reduces the ability to kill pathogens, causing inflammation. Patients may have yellow and red leukorrhea, which may be accompanied by itching.
Yellowish leukorrhea and a little itchy vulva can also be seen in other causes, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
