Sore limbs are not necessarily a new coronavirus infection. The main symptoms of new coronavirus are fever, malaise, dry cough, and in a few cases nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea, and muscle aches. However, the diagnosis of novel coronavirus should not be made on the basis of muscle aches in the limbs alone, as the cause of muscle aches in the limbs may be fever. Therefore, when you find soreness in your limbs, you should measure your body temperature to see if it is accompanied by fever, and if the temperature is normal, you should consider whether there are any muscle strains in your limbs caused by lifting heavy objects or overexertion in the recent past. The diagnosis of novel coronavirus should be based on epidemiologic history, chest CT, and pathogenetic testing for novel coronavirus, and should not be based on the simple presence of muscle aches and pains in the extremities.
