The routine stool sampling method is based on the stool’s character, color, and the presence or absence of mucus.
If the stool is normal in character, color, no mucus, and banana-shaped, then take 2 small spoons, the size of a peanut, from multiple parts of the stool, using a small spoon on the top in an uncontaminated area, and place them in a stool collection tube within 15 minutes. Indicate your name and the time you left the sample on the collection tube.
If the stool is thin and unformed, take 3-5 tsp from multiple parts within 15 minutes and put it in the collection tube. If the stool is not normal in color, such as blood in stool, pus and blood in stool, black stool, white clay color, etc., the abnormal part should be taken and the stool must be fresh at the same time.
If there is mucus in the stool, the mucus part should be taken from as many parts as possible, and it is forbidden to destroy the contaminated mucus. As with normal stool, put it in the fecal collection tube. The outside of the tube should be labeled with the name and time of sampling.
Note that before the stool collection, you should have a normal life and work, normal diet, do not overeat and self-medication to avoid affecting the test results.
