Gallbladder polyps tips

  Gallbladder polyps are lesions that protrude or bulge into the cavity of the gallbladder and can be spherical or hemispherical, with or without a tip.  Cholesterol polyps are mainly due to abnormal lipid metabolism, resulting in the precipitation of cholesterol crystals and the formation of polyps; 2. All of them can lead to the formation of gallbladder polyps.  What are the symptoms of gallbladder polyps? Generally, gallbladder polyps are asymptomatic and most of them are detected by ultrasonography during physical examination. A small number of patients may have symptoms of gallbladder stones such as pain in the right upper abdomen, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite.  What to do in the presence of gallbladder polyps Most cases require only close monitoring. However, surgical treatment should be considered in the following cases: gallbladder polyps with a tendency to gradually increase in size, or polyps with a diameter of more than 1 cm, or polyps with a wide base; or polyps located after the wall of the gallbladder is elevated, or polyps located close to the liver or gallbladder outlet or combined with gallbladder stones. Especially when the age is more than 50 years old.
