Hormone 6 Definition

The Hormone 6 test is a test that checks the function of a woman’s ovaries. There is a specific time for this test. If you can have a normal menstrual cycle, it is more accurate to have the test on 2-4 days of menstruation, in the morning on an empty stomach without eating, from 9-11 am. If a woman is amenorrheic and does not have a normal menstrual cycle, and if the endometrium is thin, the test is also done on an empty stomach from 9-11 am. The six hormones include estrogen, progesterone, follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and lactogen. The significance of these hormones is different. If the follicle stimulating hormone is ≥40U/L, it means that the ovaries are already in poor function, or even in a state of menopause, or premature ovarian failure. If a young woman has low estrogen levels and high follicle stimulating hormone, it may affect her fertility or menstruation and needs to be treated promptly.
