What is the root cause of nasal discharge

The root cause of nasal discharge may be cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage, allergic rhinitis, acute rhinitis and so on.
1. Cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage: trauma, medical injury, cranial dysplasia, tumor and other factors may cause cranial defects and rupture, and cerebrospinal fluid may flow into the nasal cavity through the defective cranial bone, that is to say, the formation of cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage. Symptoms include spontaneous nasal flow, repeated gagging, and in severe cases, intracranial infection may occur.
2. Allergic rhinitis: during the acute attack of rhinitis, the nasal cavity will secrete a large amount of watery nasal mucus, accompanied by paroxysmal sneezing, itchy nose, nasal congestion, and even itchy eyes, otitis media and other symptoms.
3. Acute rhinitis: mostly caused by influenza virus infection, the nasal mucous membrane manifests acute kata symptoms, i.e. nasal congestion, flowing a lot of watery nasal discharge, cough and other symptoms.
It is recommended that patients seek timely medical examination of the causes and conditions, and actively cooperate with doctors under the guidance of the doctor’s treatment.
