Fever in acute viral infections usually lasts for 3 to 5 days, usually no more than 1 week. If the patient’s body temperature is below 38.5°C, physical cooling can be used, such as warm water baths and ice packs to cool the body. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5°C, active medical consultation is required and anti-fever medication, such as ibuprofen suspension, loxoprofen sodium, acetaminophen tablets, etc., can be used as prescribed by the doctor along with anti-viral medication. If the patient’s temperature does not return to normal for more than 1 week, he/she needs to seek active medical attention to further improve relevant investigations and assess whether other pathogenic microbial infections are combined, which need to be differentiated from other febrile illnesses, and make corresponding treatment.
