What to practice to improve hip mobility

Common exercise methods to improve hip mobility include squatting with support, swinging of the affected limb, internal and external rotation, hip flexion, knee hugging and opening. 1. Standing position exercise. (1) Squatting method: the patient reaches forward with both hands, holds the fixture, stands with feet shoulder-width apart, squats slowly, and then stands again. (2) Swinging method of the affected limb: the patient reaches forward with both hands, or holds the fixture sideways. Stand with one foot bearing weight, perform flexion, abduction and adduction of the affected limb, and swing. (3) Internal and external rotation method: the patient holds the fixture with both hands and gently moves one foot forward and outward, with the heel touching the ground for internal and external rotation. 2. Sitting exercise method. (1) Hip flexion method: the patient’s lower limbs are naturally separated, and hip and knee flexion exercises are performed. (2) Holding the knee method: the patient’s lower limbs are naturally separated, hands crossed and stuck in front of the proximal end of the tibia, elbow flexion and pulling the back combined with active hip flexion. (3) Open method: the affected limb feet together, legs repeatedly open and close, for knee abduction and adduction. It is recommended that patients with impaired hip joints should seek timely medical treatment, under the guidance of professional doctors, arrange training programs, and do not exercise blindly to avoid adverse consequences.
