Hair glass shadows and ground glass shadows are the same type of lung imaging presentation and usually have the same meaning. Gross glass shadows, also called ground glass shadows, gross glass nodules, etc., describe the same pathologic manifestation, but are expressed in slightly different ways. Gross glass shadow refers to the increased density within the lungs with blurred or not blurred boundary on CT, the density of the lesion is not enough to cover the blood vessels and bronchial shadows in the lesion, which may be the imaging manifestation of malignant tumors, benign tumors, inflammation and other diseases. Gross glass shadow is mostly caused by inflammatory changes, the appearance of gross glass shadow needs to dynamically understand whether the lesion is growing. If the patient is accompanied by other clinical manifestations, it is necessary to further clarify the diagnosis and comprehensive judgment, and then carry out targeted treatment. It is recommended that patients with imaging abnormalities should consult a doctor in a timely manner to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
