Danshen is bitter and cold in nature, belongs to heart meridian and liver meridian, has the effect of breaking up the existing blood, replenishing the new blood, activating blood circulation, eliminating blood stasis, clearing up the menstruation and relieving pain, it is a commonly used gynecological medicine to regulate menstruation and is commonly used in the clinic for menstrual disorders, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea caused by blood heat and stagnation, post-partum abdominal pain, as well as various kinds of stagnation of blood caused by chest paralysis and heartache, obstruction of mass in the abdomen, paralysis with fever and pain and other diseases.
