Inflammation and fever in the throat of 1-year-old babies are mostly caused by viral infections in the early stage, manifesting as fever and poor spirit, which can be given symptomatic treatment in the early stage. If the body temperature is <38.5℃, physical cooling and warm water bath can be given. If the body temperature is >38.5℃, oral antipyretics such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen can be given, together with drugs to clear the heat and promote the throat, such as Blue Scutellaria oral solution or Pudilan anti-inflammatory oral solution, and the body temperature will generally return to normal within 3 days. If the fever is >38.5℃ repeatedly and does not go down for more than 3 days, it is recommended to go to the hospital for routine blood tests to find out whether the white blood cells and neutrophils are increased and whether there is any combined bacterial infection. If there is a combination of bacterial infections, oral anti-infective medication is needed. Drink more water, eat a light diet, and pay attention to the intake of complementary foods.
