The most common cause of back pain after sleeping and getting up is lumbar strain. It is because of prolonged sitting and ambulatory work, or prolonged bending and heavy work, resulting in inflammation of the muscles and fascia of the lumbar back muscles, lumbar muscle strain, and then pain. The pain is mainly manifested as soreness and swelling of the muscles of the low back, and occasionally there is radiating pain. The symptoms can be relieved when the lumbar spine is active, and the pain can be induced when resting in bed, especially when sleeping at night. When pressing with the hand, the pain can be induced as soreness, but when tapping with the hand, it will feel comfortable instead. The best treatment is to remove the cause, avoid prolonged sitting, or heavy physical work, and strengthen the functional exercise of the lumbar and back muscles, with medication if necessary. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, such as Nimesulide or Cilazapro capsules, are usually used in clinical practice.
