What does barrett’s esophagus endoscopy treat?

Endoscopic treatment of Barrett’s esophagus is mostly used to treat early stage Barrett’s esophagus adenocarcinoma and Barrett’s esophagus with heteroplasia. 1. For early-stage Barrett’s esophagus adenocarcinoma and Barrett’s esophagus with high-grade heterotrophic hyperplasia, endoscopic radical resection or surgical resection is recommended after examining and evaluating the depth of infiltration of the lesion and metastasis of lymph nodes. 2. Endoscopic resection is generally recommended for Barrett’s esophagus with low-grade heterogeneous hyperplasia. 3. Barrett’s esophagus with low-grade heterotrophic hyperplasia that is not treated should be closely monitored and regularly reviewed, usually with gastroscopic follow-up every 6 to 12 months. It should be noted that Barrett’s esophagus has a tendency to become cancerous, and early medical treatment is recommended to prevent the disease from deteriorating and progressing.
