The spermatic cord is a male anatomical concept, an anatomical structure located in the inguinal canal of the male. It has a complex structure that includes arteries, veins, lymphatic vessels, vas deferens and nerves, among which are testicular arteries, testicular veins, vas deferens arteries and vas deferens veins. The outer part of the spermatic cord is covered by the levator muscle and the external fascia of the spermatic cord. The spermatic cord is prone to diseases, including varicocele, inflammation of the spermatic cord, and spermatic nerve dysfunction. Injuries to the structures of the spermatic cord, such as testicular artery injury and vas deferens injury, may often occur when inguinal canal surgery is performed.
