What an acute asthma attack looks like

Most of the acute attacks of asthma can be manifested as episodes of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness or cough, etc. According to the severity of the acute attack, it is categorized into 4 grades: mild, moderate, severe and critical. 1. Mild: shortness of breath when walking or walking up stairs, may have anxiety, mild increase in respiratory rate. 2. Moderate: shortness of breath during activities, interruption of speech, anxiety, increased respiratory rate, and triple concave signs. 3. Severe: shortness of breath at rest, sitting breathing, only single word expression, often with anxiety and irritability, profuse sweating, often with three concave signs. 4. Critical: the patient can not speak, drowsiness or blurred consciousness, there may be contradictory movements of the chest and abdomen, and must be rescued immediately. When the above asthma manifestations occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
