The role of Xylitol

Xylitol (mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream) has anti-thrombotic effect and also has some degree of anti-inflammatory effect, and it can prevent superficial thrombosis, promote their absorption, prevent local inflammation development and accelerate hematoma absorption. Mucopolysulfate also promotes the regeneration of normal connective tissue, so it is often used in superficial phlebitis, varicose phlebitis, adjunctive treatment after varicose surgery and sclerotherapy, hematomas, contusions, swelling, edema, and thrombophlebitis caused by exudation from intravenous infusions and injections, and inhibits the formation of scarring and softens scarring. The use of this drug is mainly topical, it can also be applied to the affected area and covered with gauze or similar material when treating very painful inflammation.
