The symptoms of pulpal congestion are as follows: 1. There is instant pain to hot and cold stimulation, sweet and sour chemical stimulation, relatively sensitive pain, when the stimulation is removed, the pain can disappear immediately. Patients will have more obvious pain to cold stimulation, but generally there is no spontaneous pain; 2. The examination will find that the affected tooth has deep cavity and wedge-shaped defect, that is, there is a wedge-shaped defect in the cervical part of the tooth. The affected tooth can sometimes probe deep periodontal pockets and occlusal trauma, and generally there is no percussion pain; for the patient to have such a situation of pulpal congestion, the pathogenic factors causing pulpal congestion should be eliminated firstly. For example, in case of deep caries, the decayed material should be removed first, and the pulp should be pacified with pacifying material, and the patient should be observed whether there are symptoms during the observation period, and if there is no symptom, the patient can be permanently filled; if the patient has occlusal trauma, this occlusal trauma needs to be eliminated; if the patient has relatively large orthodontic external force, the external force needs to be reduced. With proper treatment, the symptoms of pulpal congestion will be relieved and may return to normal.
