The effect of mumps with cactus compresses

The vast majority of patients with mumps can use cactus externally, and the topical application is effective. Mumps can be accompanied by more obvious symptoms of swollen and painful cheeks. Cactus needs to be applied fresh, and the thorns need to be removed, and the flesh mashed into a puree, and then applied topically. The pain and swelling can be significantly reduced after 2-3 days of application, because the fresh cactus itself has a cooling effect and will be more comfortable at the time of application. Mumps patients who apply cactus topically are usually able to subside and reduce local symptoms within 5 days. It is not advisable to use cactus for too long a time each day, usually about 2 hours. If it is applied for too long, it is not a problem for most people. However, it should be noted that some people’s skin may be allergic to the pulp of the cactus, so these people are not able to use the cactus.
