Is there a relationship between loud bowel sounds and the stomach

Loud bowel sounds are related to the stomach to some extent, but to a greater extent they are related to intestinal disorders, such as acute gastroenteritis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and mechanical intestinal obstruction. Loud bowel sounds are medically known as hyperactive bowel sounds, which can be caused by acute gastroenteritis or gastrointestinal hemorrhage that stimulates intestinal peristalsis. If the number of bowel sounds increases, and the sound is loud, high, or even hear a clanking or metallic sound, it may be a mechanical intestinal obstruction. Generally, bowel sounds are about 4 to 5 times per minute. Physiologically, bowel sounds are more frequent and more pronounced after meals and diminish during sleep. If the bowel sounds are only transiently hyperactive and are not accompanied by other symptoms such as abdominal pain or diarrhea, no treatment is needed; if the bowel sounds are hyperactive for a long period of time, it is recommended to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the problem.
