The bruising of the skin of the lower thigh after carotid intervention surgery is considered to be due to local bleeding and hematoma factors.
1. Local hemorrhage: after the intervention surgery, the appearance of local ecchymosis is relatively common in the clinical aspect, and it cannot be excluded that it is due to the local hemorrhage factor, so the local hemorrhage symptom can be seen through the skin in greenish purple color, and it can be shortened the time of the existence of ecchymosis by means of hot and cold compresses.
2. Hematoma factor: bruising at the thigh root is considered to be due to the open wound (puncture point) on the skin of the thigh root area so that the catheter can enter the body, so it will produce local vascular damage, which will cause the formation of local hematoma and the phenomenon of purple skin.
It is recommended that after the puncture, the puncture point should be sterilized locally, and hot and cold compresses should be applied for hygienic care.
