How to treat inflammation of the eardrum

Ear eardrum inflammation, also known as acute tympanitis, should be treated aggressively with topical oxyfloxacin and dexamethasone ear drops for 15 minutes at a time and wiped dry after 15 minutes, three times a day. If ear pain is evident, 2% phenol glycerin ear drops can be used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. Inflammation of the eardrum is clinically common due to upper respiratory tract infection, retrograde infection of the middle ear cavity via the eustachian tube, which makes the eardrum congested, so it is important to actively treat the upper respiratory tract infection and treat it with static doses of sensitive and adequate antibiotics and antiviral drugs. If the inflammation is not effectively treated and the eardrum is perforated and a large amount of pus flows into the external ear canal, treatment should be done by cleaning the external ear canal with hydrogen peroxide and then using oxyfloxacin and dexamethasone ear drops, along with a sensitive and sufficient amount of antibiotics.
