Main Symptoms of Lamb’s Syndrome

Lambda is the common name for epilepsy. There are various symptoms of epilepsy, and different types of seizures behave differently. 1. Partial seizures (1) Simple partial seizures: manifested as twitching or numbness or pins and needles sensation of one side of the eyelids, corners of the mouth, hands or toes; flushing of the face and the whole body, profuse sweating, standing hair, pupil dilatation, and the feeling of wanting to urinate, etc.; and various kinds of memory disorders, affective disorders, illusions, and complex hallucinations. (2) Complex partial seizures: manifested by blurred consciousness, repeated pouting, chewing, licking the tongue, teeth or swallowing, repeated rubbing of the hands, constant dressing, undressing, wandering, running, opening and closing doors without a purpose, riding in a car, talking to oneself, shouting, singing, etc. 2. Generalized seizures (1) Tonic-clonic seizure: It is characterized by tonic contraction of muscles of the whole body, loss of consciousness, cyanosis and violent flexion twitching. (2) Tonic seizure: there can be a violent spasm of contraction of the skeletal muscles of the whole body, accompanied by autonomic symptoms such as pallor, in a standing position can fall down violently. The seizure lasts for several seconds to tens of seconds. (3) Loss of consciousness seizure: a sudden and brief loss of consciousness and interruption of the ongoing action, eyes staring blankly, and not being able to respond to the call. (4) Myoclonic seizure: It is characterized by rapid, brief, electric shock-like muscle contraction. (5) Dystonic seizures: a sudden decrease in muscle tone in part or the whole body, resulting in a drop of the neck (nodding), opening of the mouth, drooping of the limbs (falling with an object in the hand), or a fall or a sudden collapse of the torso with a loss of tension. When the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek prompt medical treatment.
