Bowel obstruction in children presents with symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, abdominal distension, and cessation of gas and bowel movements. Intestinal obstruction is an obstacle to the passage of intestinal contents caused by various reasons, and it is one of the surgical acute abdominal diseases. 1. Abdominal pain: Mechanical intestinal obstruction will lead to abnormal peristalsis above the obstruction site and abdominal pain, after which the intestinal muscle is overworked and temporary retardation occurs, and the abdominal pain will disappear. So there will be paroxysmal colic. It may cause symptoms such as crying and irritability in children. 2. Vomiting and abdominal distension: high level obstruction will cause early and frequent vomiting, and when obstruction occurs, it will cause intestinal distension and abdominal distension. 3. Cessation of defecation and evacuation: after complete intestinal obstruction, the intestinal contents cannot pass through the obstructed area, which will cause the intestinal tube below the obstruction to be in a state of emptiness and cause the cessation of defecation and evacuation. Children with intestinal obstruction may also have other symptoms, need to go to the hospital in time for examination, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
