Is nephrotic syndrome cured after stopping medication?

Nephrotic syndrome can not be considered cured after stopping medication. Nephrotic syndrome is a chronic disease characterized by massive proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, edema and hyperlipidemia. Usually, the condition can be temporarily controlled or even clinically cured by medication, but the disease is prone to relapse. Even if the medication has been stopped, it is still recommended that the patient should regularly review the urine routine, urinary protein, renal function and other indexes to assess the change of the condition. The general course of treatment is to control blood pressure and salt intake, use glucocorticoids (prednisone), immunosuppressants (cyclophosphamide), renin-angiotensin-aldosterone receptor antagonists (valsartan, benadryl), diuretics (torasemide) and other treatments. The above treatments need to be carried out under the guidance of specialized doctors. Patients with nephrotic syndrome are advised to consult regular hospitals and standardize the use of medication under the guidance of physicians.
