Over the past hundred years, doctors around the world have conducted painstaking research and exploration for the treatment of bunions and have come up with various treatment methods. According to incomplete statistics, there are about 200 different treatments for bunions, each of which has its own advantages and shortcomings 。。。。。。 The pursuit of new bunion treatment techniques that are safer, more secure, less risky, and more aesthetically pleasing has never stopped among doctors around the world. As early as more than a decade ago, doctors in China made clinical attempts to treat bunions with acupuncture and achieved encouraging results, but unfortunately the attempts stopped only slapdash, i.e., no scientific anatomical studies were conducted, and no sufficient clinical cases were accumulated, so no scientific treatment system was formed. Needle knife technology has achieved great success in the clinical treatment of many chronic soft tissue diseases with its advantages of minimally invasive (not a mistake, it is indeed minimally invasive), no incision on the body surface, quick recovery, no complications, and no damage to the basic structure of the human body. Therefore, theoretically, it should be suitable for acupuncture treatment. Based on the above analysis, we conducted a detailed and in-depth anatomical study of the pathological changes in bunions and performed the necessary experiments to design an acupuncture treatment protocol. The clinical trial based on this protocol showed that the tension of the first toe bunion decreased immediately after the needle knife treatment, and the angle could be completely restored to normal after splinting (see figure), indicating that the needle knife treatment for bunion orthopedics is scientific and feasible. However, in view of the complexity of the pathological changes of bunion, it is still far from enough to fully recover by one treatment of acupuncture orthopaedics alone, first of all, at least 6 weeks of postoperative splinting is indispensable, and, after removal of splinting, the necessary functional exercises have to be performed, which is certainly a bit troublesome, but for women who love beauty, I believe it should not be difficult to overcome this difficulty. Perhaps the efficacy of acupuncture orthopedics is not as fast and certain as surgery, but the advantages of acupuncture treatment to be safe, secure, risk-free and scar-free are also obvious. The advent of needle knife orthopedics has added an option for bunion patients. You can certainly choose surgery and we sincerely wish all patients success in their treatment, but if you choose needle knife orthopedics, let’s work together!
