There is no definite length of time to live with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and it is closely related to age, stage, number of extranodal lesions, physical condition, and serum lactate dehydrogenase. Age greater than 60 years, stage III or IV, more than one extranodal lesion, bedridden or requiring care from others, and elevated serum lactate dehydrogenase are five indices that affect the prognosis of patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. 1. If the patient has 0 to 1 index, the 5-year survival rate is about 73%. 2. If the patient has 2 indices, the 5-year survival rate is about 50%. 3. If the patient has 3 indices, the 5-year survival rate is about 43%. 4. If the patient has 4 to 5 indices, the 5-year survival rate is about 26%. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma should go to the hospital in time and under the guidance of doctors for standardized treatment to prolong the survival period.
