The maximum number of days a dental calcium hydroxide sealer can last

The longest dental calcium hydroxide sealing can generally be sealed for about two weeks, and the exact time varies somewhat depending on the condition.
Calcium hydroxide for dental use is one of the commonly used root canal disinfection drugs in stomatology. Calcium hydroxide paste has the effect of inhibiting the growth of bacteria in the root canal and promoting the healing and reconstruction of defective tissues at the root apex, therefore, calcium hydroxide has a wide range of applications in oral treatments, such as root canal disinfection, root canal filling, and apical induction.
However, the sealing time of calcium hydroxide preparation should not exceed two weeks, i.e., the longest sealing time is about two weeks; during this sealing period, calcium hydroxide can effectively play the role of bacteriostatic and antibacterial as well as promoting the healing of periapical tissues; if it exceeds two weeks, it will be gradually absorbed, and the efficacy of the drug will be significantly weakened; therefore, the sealing time of calcium hydroxide should not exceed two weeks in order to avoid the impact of the therapeutic effect.
