Commonly used medicines to dispel dampness include Nephritis Four Flavors Tablets, Yin Chen Wu Ling Pills, and Fen Qing Wu Ling Pills. However, Chinese medicines or proprietary Chinese medicines should be used under the guidance of a Chinese doctor and should not be used blindly by individuals.
1. Nephritis Four Flavors Tablet has the effect of clearing heat and diuretic, tonifying qi and strengthening spleen. It is used for edema caused by internal dampness-heat and qi deficiency, which is characterized by swelling, lumbago, fatigue, and dysuria; chronic nephritis with the above symptoms.
2. Yin Chen Wu Ling Wan has the effect of clearing dampness and heat, and facilitating urination. It is used for jaundice with damp-heat caused by damp-heat in liver and gallbladder, stagnation of spleen and lung, distention and fullness in the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen), and unfavorable urination. Jaundice belongs to cold, dampness and yin yellowness should not be used.
3. Fenqing Wulin Pill is effective in clearing away heat and fire, diuretic and diaphoretic (to improve the problem of dribbling of urine, small amount of urine and inability to pass). It is used for gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, astringent pain) caused by dampness-heat downstream injection, with symptoms such as yellowish-red urine, frequent and urgent urination, burning and astringent pain in the urethra. Use with caution in pregnant women.
