Testiculitis is called “Zi Canker” in Chinese medicine, and it can be treated by internal treatment and external treatment.
1. Internal treatment
(1) Dampness-heat infiltration (dampness and heat evils invade the intestines, bladder, pubic area and lower limbs): manifested as swollen and painful testicles, redness and swelling of the scrotum, burning pain, obvious tenderness, accompanied by malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever, with a red tongue, yellowish and greasy moss, and a slippery pulse. Use gentian diarrhea liver soup plus reduction.
(2) Qi stagnation and phlegm condensation: manifesting as mild testicular tenderness, discomfort in the abdomen, pale tongue, white greasy moss, and slippery pulse. Use Tangerine Kernel Pill to add and subtract.
2. External treatment: for acute cases without pus, use Jin Huang San or Yu Lu San to apply cold compresses with water; for pus, incision should be made to drain the pus; for thick pus, use Jiu Yi Dan to drain the pus, and when the pus is gone, use White Jade Cream to regenerate the muscle; for chronic cases, use Chun He Cream to apply externally, and use tattoo soup with onion to make sweat for the swelling to have a sitz bath.
