Reasons why the elderly are prone to cancer

According to incomplete epidemiological statistics: about 60% of cancers occur after the age of 65, and about 70% of tumor deaths occur in the elderly population. From the analysis of the causes of cancer generation: mainly cell gene mutation, weakened differentiation ability, weakened controlled division, and the body’s own immune surveillance ability and immune killing ability are weakened. As for the reasons why elderly people are prone to cancer, there are several reasons: 1. long life time, genes are subject to various damage factors and long time, which are prone to gene mutation; 2. long life time, large accumulation of own errors in the process of gene division; prone to gene mutation; 3. old age and weakness, reduced autoimmunity, reduced ability to resist tumors; 4. cancer process takes quite a long time, and most of them have already entered old age when clinical symptoms appear. Most of them have already entered old age when clinical symptoms appear. Since tumors mostly occur in old age and are closely related to cellular aging, they are also called “senile diseases” or “aging diseases” recently.
