Pain under the breast is anatomically related to the pleura, ribs, heart, lungs and diaphragm, but not to the stomach, and is generally associated with musculoskeletal inflammation of the chest wall, pleurisy, rib fractures, coronary heart disease, mastitis, breast tumour disease or pneumothorax.
