It is possible that most patients with cervicitis are asymptomatic. Those with symptoms mainly present with blood in the leucorrhoea, increased leucorrhoea, which can be mucopurulent, itching and burning sensations in the vulva, blood in the leucorrhoea after sexual intercourse and blood in the leucorrhoea between menstruation, which can mostly be diagnosed through gynaecological examination and microscopic examination of the cervical or vaginal secretions.
